League of Legends

Played by hundreds of thousands of people around the globe, League of Legends seems to be one of the most popular online multiplayer game where you, as a summoner. control your very own choice of character, called as champions in a battle to victory.

What's fun about the game is that you can play with your friends against other players online or play with other strangers playing online, where you can chat with them in-game and make new friends, maybe. League of Legends also features more than a hundred characters or champions for you to play in games, provided that you have unlocked them or they are in the weekly free champions list. And yes, the game would be better with skill, strategy, timing, and some knowledge, but it's just a game, and games are meant to give us fun, not some serious stuff... And with that, have fun playing! :D

Have Some Dessert?

We all have the sweet tooth, especially when it comes to desserts. Our tongues are made to love sweets. Is this why diabetes is pretty common these days? Anyhow, these are the top 5 desserts we've come across with.

1.  Pancakes

It may seem like breakfast food, but pancakes are also dessert too!Especially when you taste the delicious pancakes of the restaurant Slappy Cakes.Slappy Cakes is a restaurant where you can make your own pancakes! It's buttermilk(the main ingredient for making pancakes)is put in a squirt bottle where you have to squeeze the nozzle, and then you're free to create any pancake you like on the grill. Anyways, anyone can do the pancake the simple way:buy the mix from a grocery, fire up the oven, and toast it.There's a whole lot of ways you can design it:with whipped cream or sprinkles or bit of both (as seen in the picture below)

Smile!

2. Cake
Cake is awesome. What do most people look forward to when it's their birthday? CAKE. There are many kinds of cakes. They vary in shapes, size, and flavor. I'm kinda hungry for cake right now. Let's look at the nutritional value of cake and show why it's not bad for you. It has a full breakfast meal in it. Eggs - yeah, those are there Bread - pretty much what a cake is made of Fruits - Yes, very healthy These ingredients show just how healthy and awesome this is.

Cake brings the family together

3. Ice Cream
Everyone loves ice cream!Everyone gets brainfreeze all about it.A lot of people would go wait a long line in Magnum just to taste the creamy goodness of it.But there are a lot of ice cream stores that can taste just as good.Dippin' Dots,FIC,and Ben and Jerry's are really awesome in taste, design, and look.Any of these restaurants can be located at the nearest mall beside you. Most parents would disapprove of ice cream, but once you taste it,you'll never get enough of it.

Sweet!

4. Chocolates
CHOCOLATES! Chocolate flavored food, chocolate bars, chocolate milk, you name it. Chocolates just taste so good. They're creamy, aromatic, sweet, and overall satisfying. We all want one (well, most of us do). Also, this dessert can actually make you happy because it triggers certain hormones in your body so this can probably lessen your stress.

Hope you're not allergic to these things

5. Cupcakes
Cupcakes are one of the most exquisitely designed desserts.Starting from the filling to the icing, design is the first thing that comes into mind. One of the most popular cupcakes is the red velvet cupcake, which is known for the red filling and creamy icing. In fact,in SM Aura, there's a cupcake store called the Royal Touch by Carolyn Robb. She's a famous chef/baker for the royal family of England.Cupcakes by Sonja and other dessert stores also have great looking and great tasting cupcakes.
A whole cake compressed into that (so sweet)

Pacman in our Everyday Lives

Pac-Man with Omnomnomnomnom < - - - This onomatopoeia accurately depicts a famous icon from the 80s which lives on until this very day. This famous icon is the one and only... Pac-man

Pac-Man is an arcade game that was created by Namco, first released in Japan on the 22nd of May, 1980, then released on a later date in the United states on October, 1980. It then rose to fame and became immensely popular that this game is still recognized until this very day. You can try this game out for free by clicking this link below for you to enjoy the fun and highly-addictive experience you’ll get with Pac-Man.

Playing this game for the first time, you would most likely feel that it’s just one of those fun and highly addictive games, but nothing can be learned from it. After all, it’s just a video game. But alas, that’s where you are mistaken dear readers. Upon pondering whether or not some life lesson could be learned from this game, I fixated my eyes and studied this old and classic game. After a while, I realized something of great significance. “Eureka!” just as Archimiedes would say.

Looking closely at the game mechanics, a life lesson could be learned, so let’s first go through the game mechanics. In this game, the player controls Pac-Man and navigates him throughout a maze where he must collect all of the pac-dots and fruits. When all of these are eaten, you then proceed to the next stage. However, the game isn’t so easily won. Four enemies are released periodically from their cage, and they all have but one objective, eliminate Pac-Man. Fortunately, these four enemies can be thwarted by consuming the fruits located throughout the maze. These fruits give Pac-Man a temporary power boost, allowing him to consume his foes and send them back to their cage, only to be released again after a short period of time.

The simple game mechanics is applicable in real life situations. Pac-Man is a representation of everyone of us. Each day, we face challenges , both big and small, and accomplish several objectives in order to complete these challenges, just like how Pac-Man meekly consumes pac-dots one by one until the very last in order for him to proceed to the next level. However, with great challenges comes great opposition. The four enemies of Pac-Man represent obstacles that seem to obstruct us from accomplishing great things. Pac-Man manages to face these adversaries by consuming the fruit, the fruit which aids Pac-Man in his task. And in the same way, all of this comes down to whether or not we choose to face these obstacles and obliterate them from our paths. By turning to fear and not facing these obstacles, we then delay ourselves from attaining our goals.

In the end, we can call ourselves Pac-Men or Packed-Men because we are packed with challenges, goals, objectives, and as such. From this game, we can learn that we should face our fears, for what is there to fear if fear itself fears us, and of course more importantly, God is always with us, so who can stand against us.

JAMBA JUICE

From Starbucks to Chatime and now...Jamba Juice. People nowadays are more conscious when it comes to their health, they intend to know the contents of the food, before consuming it. Just because the food is healthy doesn't mean it taste bad, and Jamba Juice is the perfect example for that.
In 2011 ,the first Jamba juice opened in the Philippines, it is located at Bonifacio Global City. Through the years Jamba Juice expanded all throughout the Philippines, and now, after 3 years it already has 13 stores found in the Philippines.

I personally like Jamba Juice because it tastes so good, and at the same time it is made of fresh fruits which makes us healthy. There are a wide variety of smoothies you could choose from, but some of their best sellers are Banana Berry, Five fruit frenzy, and strawberry surf rider. If you are a fan of mangoes, which i know a lot of people are (like me), i would recommend trying Mango-a-go-go.
Mango-a-go-go is my favorite smoothie because it contains mangoes, passion fruit mango juice, topped off with pineapple sherbet, that will surely leave you wanting more. I started drinking Jamba Juice last 2012, and since then it became a weekly routine of mine. Every saturday or sunday, my parents would usually look for a coffee shop, while my sister and i would end up drinking Jamba Juice.
But for other people like Charles Ong, from thekeyboardcommunity, they like the blueberry smoothies, because the are a fan of berries and rarely get to taste them.

mango a-go-go <3
Another great thing about Jamba Juice is that they have a photo booth, you could take pictures and then send it to your email. So for people who loves drinking healthy smoothies and taking pictures, Jamba Juice is the perfect place for you!

Through the Aperture: Creation

What might be ever so comely as felicity? A mélange ever so picturesque? It is breathtaking. Prepossessing. Yet hidden like buried treasure. It is where no one sees it. Everywhere. After reading these very words we write, maybe you'll change your perspective. Your perspective about it. Then maybe you'll find it. Maybe you'll see it. It is creation. Creation is it.

You can see the GENTLENESS of nature in a chrysalis.

And find yourself GRACED by the presence of a butterfly …

… the very next day

You could say that the STRIKING FORCE of nature is present in the skies above Luneta Park.

Someday,

it might even be the one to LEAD you home…

… where you BELONG.

But then again, you need only to LOOK UP

Or DOWN

Or SIDEWAYS

To know that there’s LIGHT

… even in the DARKEST times

To know that there is only ONE possible creator…

… of such SERENITY.

The creator of TRANQUILITY.

GOD

Our Canteen

Lunch breaks and recesses are my favorite times during school. I can get to stay away from studying and class works. I can also relax during these times and hang out with my friends. These periods are meant for students to take a deep breath, to prepare for their next class, or perhaps, to eat. But what doesn't make me satisfied when buying food from the canteen is their food itself.

Razon's Sweet Tooth

In the Philippines, there is a particular café that captures my taste buds. This café or mini-restaurant is called Razon's of Guagua. They serve a large variety of food and drinks, but their specialty is
their desert which is the Pinoy-famous halo-halo. They make it so
special that it would be impossible if you didn't like it.

This desert is consisted of plantains(saba), sweetened coconut strips(macapuno), crème caramel custard(leche flan), evaporated milk, two cups of crushed ice, and sweetened plantains syrup. That is what makes it so irresistible and sweet! This desert is only 70 pesos and I suggest you go try it now!

I have tried their palabok, too, and I could say that it is very delicious. It's delicious with just a hint of calamansi, and I hope that you will try it very soon!

They don't just serve delicious halo-halo, but also palabok, sizzling sisig, and a whole lot more! Their price range is from 10 pesos (which is the cheapest) up to 620 pesos(which is the most expensive).

If you live near Quezon City, I suggest you try to visit the branch in Unit 46 Banawe St., Sta. Mesa Heights. I have visited this place about three times and I always go home with a big smile on my face.
There are a lot more branches. Like the branch in Greenhills, SM
North Edsa, Robinsons Magnolia, and so many more!

I don't see why you shouldn't go there since people of any age are very welcome here. From toddlers to seniors, you will enter this place with an excited smile plastered on your faces.

My suggestion for you is to go there right now and make sure to fill yourself up with their delectable foods and deserts!

Sweeter Than Candy

Which is SWEETER
a CANDY BAR or a THOUGHT?
The candy holds the SUGAR,
But a thought TEARS the wrapper.

Let me tell you a story. A story that's been long buried in the depths of my imagination. A story that is to be restored and remembered. I repeat, let me tell you a story.

Once upon a time, there was a king who lived where the mountains reached for the heavens. He had three pleasing daughters whom he loved dearly.

As he grew older, he began to wonder which would inherit the kingdom since none had married and he had no heir. He decided to ask the daughters to demonstrate their love for him.

To the eldest princess, he said, "Tell me how much you love me."

She loved him as much as all the treasure in the kingdom.

To the second princess, he said, "Tell me how much you love me."

She loved him more than words could express.

To the youngest princess, he said, "Tell me how much you love me."

She thought for a long time before answering. Finally, she said that she loves him as much as bees love honey.

The king could still not decide among the three and told the princesses that they would have to prove their word true.

Everyday, the eldest daughter would give her father jewelry made of precious stones. The second daughter composed poems to lull her father to sleep. The youngest daughter offered her father sweets.

This continued until the king had took in too much sugar that gave him a heart disease. He passed away moments after.

The youngest princess was found guilty and was thrown from the castle and had the bridge drawn up behind her so she may not return.

Now let me ask you a question.

Which killed the king?

The youngest princess or the sweets?
